Move with me
I am firmly convinced:
Movement helps!
And even more so if it is functional and targeted.
Form follows function...
...provided the function is fulfilled.
Every muscle in our body has a specific function. Just like in an orchestra, a great sound experience is only created when each group of instruments performs its function and, above all, only when the whole orchestra sounds together.
Movements that only use a single muscle in isolation are like concerts in which only half of the musicians are present.
Functional forms of exercise always integrate several muscles and muscle groups simultaneously.
Every movement that people, and therefore also musicians, make is ultimately based on these fundamental patterns.
If we want to move efficiently and intelligently, we should follow our blueprint, the spiral. We can choose whether we move in a coordinated or uncoordinated way - when making music and in life.
Harnessing the power of the spiral
Spirals are found everywhere in nature, from galaxies and weather patterns to plant growth and DNA, including in the human body. Spiral Dynamics® is a movement and therapy concept that describes the structure of the body and provides guidance for healthy movement. By applying Spiral Dynamics®, we can understand and implement spiral principles in physical movements such as walking, running and throwing.

A few words about yoga
My path to the body and the first answers to my questions came about through yoga.
but
Nevertheless, I don't want to limit myself to yoga. It has raised just as many questions for me as it has made things more tangible and explainable.
I am therefore extremely critical.
Basically, I think anything that gets people moving again is great, but since I'm always looking for functionality in everything, the basic question for me is first of all
Who or what use is that?
Yoga with a spiral-dynamic and biomechanical background is a great fit for me, as it answers this question again and again. In addition, in my opinion, you are often more likely to find your way back to the functionality of basic movements if you focus on strength rather than flexibility.
That's why you won't find any hyped and goodfeeling Bali, sunshine yoga or the quick “headless” headstand flow that you quickly do before practicing or a concert with me. If that's what you're looking for, then unfortunately you won't find it here. However, if you want to better understand your body, how it works and perhaps also the development of physical symptoms of the musculoskeletal system as well as the overarching connections with the brain, then you will find what you are looking for here.
